My pet rat Brian

has a thing about uniforms.

Firemen and parking attendants,

cashiers and ushers.

He decided that the Marines

had the most chic outfits

and applied to join up.

While he was waiting

for a response

he watched all the old war movies—

you know, for ambience?

To Hell and Back;

D-Day;

Pearl Harbour;

Sands of Iwo Jima

and regretfully decided that his

sensitive side

would never cope with

all the rat a-tat-tat.
